Getting In The Wrong Car

Getting in the wrong car is usually not a problem for most people. Consultants on the other hand drive a new car every week. One of my co-workers sat down in his car and tried to start it but quickly ran into issues.

When the key stops halfway into the ignition it usually means you have a problem and this was the predicament that this guy was experiencing. Locking and unlocking the car didn't help the situation.

It wasn't until hopping out and trying the remote unlock/lock routine did he identify the real problem.

"Honk Honk" after the key press. That's normal. But something was different this time. The car he was trying to start, door still open, wasn't reacting to the remote. The Ford Fusion was being pretty stubborn so he pressed the remote-lock again.

"Honk Honk". It happened again, but this time he found out where it came from in the garage. Seven cars over, a Toyota Corolla was honking and flashing it's lights. The mystery of the car that won't start was solved.
